DREAMS
Dreaming in Pangaea is a strange affair. Few native Pangaeans dream at all, and regard with deep suspicion anyone who does. It’s considered a trait of outsiders, a marker of mental illness(which is heavily stigmatized in Pangaea), or both.
Even for people accustomed to dreaming, they will find that it no longer works in quite the same way they’re used to. Dreams of home can have strange effects. They may wake up wearing an outfit they only had at home, or with items in their pockets from their own worlds that they hadn’t originally arrived with. They may awake with memories of experiences that happened in their own world from after the time they’d first arrived in Pangaea. They may even wake up with injuries sustained from home that carry over to Pangaea. There’s no solid evidence that they left Pangaea, but there are plenty of convincing arguments that somehow, they must have.
Essentially, dreaming is the system through which canon updates and character regains occur.
